YUP! Your eyes ain’t playing tricks. It again the month of December, where you drink a lot, eat a lot, spend a lot, laugh a lot and party a lot.
This year, Grand Hyatt Singapore has put together an array of delights at their 5 restaurants. And here are my picks:
Indulge Local Flavours at StraitsKitchen
For Christmas flavours closer to home, StraitsKitchen presents an eclectic buffet menu of authentic local Chinese, Indian, Malay, and Peranakan classics whipped up in Halal-certified kitchens.
In addition to blue swimmer crab meat fried rice, wok-fried tiger prawns in salted egg yolk, Singaporean chilli crab, ayam kalio – traditional slow-cooked chicken in blue ginger gravy, mutton dalcha – mutton curry with lentils, eggplant, carrots and potatoes, sustainable seafood from tandoor oven, other celebratory must-have dishes include slow-roasted Christmas tom turkey and a sweet selection of more than 20 delightful local desserts including the locally inspired pandan log cake. Buffet is priced at SGD 68++ for lunch and SGD 88++ for dinner.

A Taste of Nostalgia at Pete’s Place
Set in a rustic trattoria settings, savour hearty Italian fare such as a mozzarella bar, slow-roasted butterball turkey, poached sustainable prawns, shucked oysters, wood-roasted whole sea bream with fennel and dill flowers, stuffed pork loin, handcrafted pasta and wood-fired pizza at Pete’s Place.
Wrap up this Christmas Italian dining experience with classic Italian coffee, and festive desserts such as panettone- bread & butter pudding, Narsaka Sabayone with berries and pistachios, and everybody’s favourite tiramisu. Buffet is priced at SGD 118++ for bunch and dinner.

Afternoon Tea at 10 Scotts
A fun and elegant afternoon tea against a cascading waterfall at the residential-style lounge of 10 SCOTTS. Enjoy a pleasing mix of both local and international favourites including fresh Oysters, Curry Puffs, Parma Ham, a selection of Cheeses, individual dessert trays and more. Free flowing Perrier Jouët Grand Brut champagne is also available as an option. Prices start at SGD 50++ per person.
Chill at Oasis Poolside Resturant
Throw the ultimate poolside party with Oasis’s Private Poolside BBQ Party and leave all the grilling and roasting to a private chef from Oasis. Take a dip in the hotel’s pool, and dig into BBQ favourites such as the Australian grass-fed Sirloin Steak and Norwegian Atlantic Salmon, and free-flowing drinks with loved ones in a private cabana.
